congrats! That looks like a killer! Wonder why the xfrmr was done.
You should give them a go sometime. The stock 410 is a little hairer, more gain than the Satch model. I've had both.JerEvil":15iix5hl said:Very cool! JVM’s are amps I have little to no experience with, oddly enough.
Ah thanks for the breakdown. Wasn't there a Dave Mustaine version as well?jabps":lsckozmk said:You should give them a go sometime. The stock 410 is a little hairer, more gain than the Satch model. If you want more refined, more controlled gain, a better overall loop, built in noise gate and choke, the Satch is the way to go.
If you want gain for days, a good loop (and btw/ I've had no issue's or suck with the loop, I just like the loop better as is on the Satch), no noise gate and no choke...then go with the stock 410. OD1 on the stock is modded Marshall. OD2 on the stock is more modern gain structure.
Had I bought the Satch first, more than likely I would have kept it but I had alot of years on the 410 when I bought the Satch. It's been my main amp for longer than any other I've owned. So direct comparison, I just keep wanting a little more of that craziness the 410 has so I sold the Satch.
And of course the stock models, noise has been a complaint. All I can say...my two 410's, never had any issue's beyond the normal noise of many high gain amp and I've never used a gate.
Frankly I think Marshall should just rebrand the Satch model as a slightly higher end (custom) version of the stock series, and then lower the price of the stock series.
Can't go wrong with either in my opinion.
Yep. Not sure if it was modified other than the cosmetics. I think Chondro Guitars has one at the moment.JerEvil":25jc89n1 said:Ah thanks for the breakdown.
