They are killer. But you gotta gig with it...cmon man....I'm 49, my last show I brought the 2C+, small SKB rack with the Strategy 400 and intellifex, and 2 4x12s..why?

Because I can!  :D

My sound guy just shakes his head.

The YJM100 is in an old school 200 watt Marshall Major size head box. The amp has a lot of stuff going on inside so I guess the extra room was needed, plus the Major head box is kind of a nod to Blackmore also. It weighs 53 lbs and is very bulky to carry around and transport. The YJM100 sounds incredible once you turn it up some, but it is not really a bedroom amp. Glad to hear you are digging the new amp.

this is my friends favorite high gain marshall.

he has owned em all

and that says alot

i cant wait to hear some of your clips demoing the amp reza

I actually love the boost and it sounds thick and mean.
Leads sing and the bells and whistles all actually work friggin great.
I had a quad of matched EL-34B's ready to pop in, but it just sounds so good right out of the gate.
I'm not going to mess with it for now.

The only con, the only single one is the size.
It's a beast, huge and very heavy.
I'm gonna take it to rehearsal but I don't think I would want it for a show where you have to lug around gear before and after. It's too big.

But the tones. What a great amp.
Time to sell a few of the others that I don't like as much as this.

What cab is that? It looks like the 1960BX I have which I really like the sound of.

Yep it's a BX I loaded up with British Celestion V30's
Webber beam blockers.
Might be the best cab I've had in ages.

I just bought 2 of the bx's today. Gonna put V30 on the bottom in one and creambacks in the other (mix of M and H).

Congrats on the amp Reza

Awesome! Love the way it looks like a stock JMP in front, but turn it around.....and BAM! - modern features.

How's the built-in reverb?
I've wanted to try one ever since I read his book Relentless!
Does it clean up at all?
You mentioned that it wasn't good for low volumes,
so those built-in power scaling features don't do a very good job?
How about the gate? Any good?

The YJM is a great amp, my favorite in the marshall line up.

:) :) :)

Congrats

Would love to try one. So I am assuming it is a long box head shell and heavy like my Quick Rod? I guess these are taller like someone said? Like a Major 200? How big are the trannies? Can we get some more pics ploix? :D

Hey,
How would you compare your yjm100 so far to the wildwood smallbox? Also if you have tried the regular smallbox, is the wildwood worth the upgrade? Thanks

Congrats! Always wanted to try a YJM...

Ditto. Especially since Yngwie was my idol in the 80s and early 90s. I've also always wanted to try/own a 1959RR half stack.
