Great amp! I traded my Marshall Bluesbreaker combo for it....very glad I did.
The amp needs no gain/boost pedal for soloing, I think it has just the right amount of gain...chunky, thick and cutting...not harsh.
The guitar's volume rolls off excellent, even with the gain maxed out it still feels great to play.
It's definitely in the Marshall camp tone-wise. Sounds great quiet, sounds great cranked.
Best amp I've ever played from Mesa...love it!
Super simple setup. Guitar straight in...Nova System in the loop...built in mic stand (my invention with plumbing parts)
