Great amp! I traded my Marshall Bluesbreaker combo for it....very glad I did.

The amp needs no gain/boost pedal for soloing, I think it has just the right amount of gain...chunky, thick and cutting...not harsh.
The guitar's volume rolls off excellent, even with the gain maxed out it still feels great to play.
It's definitely in the Marshall camp tone-wise. Sounds great quiet, sounds great cranked.

Best amp I've ever played from Mesa...love it! :rawk:

Super simple setup. Guitar straight in...Nova System in the loop...built in mic stand (my invention with plumbing parts) :D

Hey, I like to lean on a bit of gain for soloing and this amp has all the singing squish needed on the highest gain mode.
Have you played one? This thing kicks butt...this is what I hoped the Lonestar could do when I owned that.

Yes I've played them and i like that amp. But it's a little low on gain unless it's cranked up a bit. But it's got a ballsy sound to it which is uncommon for a 1x12 combo. I blasted one with a BB Preamp and it was sounding pretty good. I wonder how it would do with a THD Hotplate and a boost?

It has tons of gain man! Did you flick the clean switch on the back to the thicker highest gain setting?

thought your bluesbreaker was going to Fortin for some love?
Well that love was gonna cost a lot of money...wish I had the funds to do it.
New house...I have a fence and a deck to build first to drink beer on. :D

Can't wait to hear what this combo sounds like, I've been wanting to check the head out for a while now.

Thanks man! We've had the house for over a year now, it's nothing huge but we got to design and pick everything we liked...furniture, fixtures, garage door opener, painting, central air, fence, deck, landscaping...money pit I tell ya.
