I had one of these briefly in like '99, and didn't really gel with it for single coils at the time. But I'm a much better player than I was then too, lol. But it always haunted me a bit. Grabbed one a week or so ago off of CL for $550 and it all works perfectly and sounds great. Along with the tremoverb I got earlier in the year for $399 it'a been a mesa kinda year lol. My bogner rig is still #1 but I really like these amps too and for these kinda prices... no brainer for me. $950 for both!

Wow great deals! I've never played a heartbreaker. Sounds like a good lead tone though
 
you ever want to share the love on the tverb-hit me up. my all time favorite mesa.
 
It is a great amp, I think I'm going to hang onto it mang. Between those 3 amps I can get pretty much every sound I'd want :D
 
Yes tremoverbs rule... but so does the heartbreaker :D
