ok so I finally got a str8 up Marshall 2203... this one is a 2003 model and is very clean. Amp sounds as it should and like all 800's takes an OD as it should. fun amp to play. this is the only JCM800 I have owned not modded for extremely high gain... bought this one from our boy EROCK

So I decided to build a new Live rig and decided to go all rack. I had a case sitting around that use to be home to my MKIV... I am extremely happy with it so far... I decided to go engl mainly because the fact that it's only one space. I was really surprised at how responsive this preamp is... I had read that it was on te thin side and it was but that is no longer the case... the EQ on the pre has a trick to it... the treble control is actually a high cut and the highmid control acts as a treble. the Bass acts as it should and the low mid control is just a standard mid control... after learning this it became a whole new animal...
I also bought a decimator PRG and a VHT 2902 poweramp...
the poweramp is a 2002 and had all the original tubes... this thing really allows the engl to do its thing and adds some huge and thick bottom end. I am very happy with this set up so far...
