Walked in to give another amp a spin and walked out with this tonight. Never even heard of it before. Picked it up at Northeast Music in Dickson City,Pa. The tone is unbelievable. The gain is so pure and tight. Bottom end never loosens up. Great for metal amongst other styles. But it will be headed into the studio for revamping our tracks soon. Lots of cool videos on YouTube but you have to play it to feel what it's like. Literally the tone blew me away,no idea PRS made a metal amp.

Pretty sure this amp was designed for Mark Tremonti... not 100% though. I hate Creed, I enjoy Alter Bridge but one thing is forsure, Tremonti always has solid tone. Record some clips my friend. Happy NAD!

Congrats on the new amp! I got mine a few weeks ago, killer amp. Was really surprised the first time I plugged into it, I have played a few other PRS amps and thought the tone was OK. This amp has a very low floor noise and a ton of gain on tap. The clean channel and switchable effects loop is a big bonus. I'm a big Tremonti fan and this amp covers the modern tones I dig.

Exactly man. Sheer accident I played it. Had to take it w me.

Had no clue PRS was even up to creating a brutal amp. Never seen or heard nothing. Guess they r brand new out.

Your amp collection is insane and you are mostly a singer. I hope the guys in your band enjoy the toys that they get to use lol. Lucky buggers...

Been gassing for one of these. Heard it's similar to a 2 channel Dual Recto with some Uberschall thrown in.

Yes, sort of...but with tighter low end to my ears. I'm loving mine.

Is it more "metal" or more "heavy modern rock"?

I'd say both. It's night n day from Herbert. Mean mids, I guess if you cleaned up a recto or a uber this is what it would be like. I've had them all ....but this amp is just pure, almost like u can't dial in a bad tone w it. It makes you want to play n inspires you to write, I love when you gel with an amp like that. I know it cuts thru live amazing bought it n put it thru practice same night. 2 guitars ,heavy bass,n loud ass double bass drummer. Crystal clear in the room.

Cool man. Thanks for the review! Glad to hear about the mids, and that it cuts through live.

I was looking at one of these and almost did the same thing. Had my wife not been with me I may have taken it home. Really solid sounding amp from the 10 mins I got to use it for.

Love most of the clips I have heard. Congrats on your purchase.
I read that these sound close to the Cornford RK100's.

Being tremonti was in on it I wouldn't doubt it. Brutal amp though!
