NAD: Rhodes Colossus!!!

These Rhodes amps sound killer...

Up until now, I have not been much of a fan of the majority of the custom builder amps that seem to be worshipped ad-nauseam by the masses around here.

I can think of one specific amp line/mods that people were just going all gaga starting about 4-5 years ago. This is not to say these are not well made amps and the people are not really nice people who make them. I just thought to my ears they sounded like shit in every video and clip I heard/watched and it amazed me the level of extreme 'knob polishing" that was going forth...

Anyway... This Rhoads stuff is the real deal and nothing short of total WIN in my book.

I want one... no wait... I NEED one...!!!

Nah seriously, i got the Money order made out already, i`m mailing it out today.

Genesis sounds brutal and is crazy versatile for a 2 channel amp.

Can`t wait.

Those Clips are the best clips I have heard in a couple of years. That is some very interesting tones you are drawing from that amp. Great job my friend.

Nope, it sounds like an in room clip, you can`t get better too much quality out of those, but you get a raw feel of the amp, witch gives a different perspective vs a mic`ed one. Helps when trying to choose an amp by having both kind of clips available.

The EVH 4x12 cab have the Celestion EVH speakers (EVH 1x12 and 2x12 have G12H30 anni.).

BTW very nice job with the clip.

That tone sounds very Boogie Mark inspired, but a bit thicker and rounder. Not so honky and searing like teh Mark. Awesome.

Nice clips man! I dont know what rhodes is doing different, but man they sound great! The rhodes modded dual rec i picked up is straight magic! Kills the other recs ive owned in the past..

Up front, in your face brutal and yet musical in every stage of the gain mix. I'm impressed, now if my emg's were not so compressed to begin with this might be THE amp for me. could it be time to go................dare I say it.........passive. It is surely the end of times.
