I went to Chubtone's store today and played one. They are such awesome sounding amps! I want a Pro-Stock so bad! (QR minus clean channel)

Enjoy! I love mine

Have you played one before? What year are you getting?...and what tubes?

Older Quick Rod. 2 input. Shared EQ. Footswitchable clean/dirty OD1/OD2 and solo boost.Winged C EL34's and JJ12AX7's

Congrats!! Killer amps. I took off my pre amp tubes covers this week and it really open up more. I love this amp everyday!!

Congrats on the new QR!

I had a 2010 QR and traded it away. I regret that decision all the time.

Just try it. When I read that thread a week ago with the talk of loosing the covers helped the tone, I thought this was mad. I took 30 seconds to experiment and... the tone sounded less compressed. Try it with your Slawn when you get it. ;)

I have been wanting a QR, such a great amp. My buddy produced this, it's a QR:

I got great tones from my Splawn Competition when I owned it. One amp I regret selling. :D

I approve Headlessdeadguy!

I'd get another one then. Beats the pants off a JVM or Blackstar if you ask me.

Started my boutique amp quest with an 2005 Quickrod
with the 3 pre amp tubes. Sold it, owned Diezel VH4, 2 Herbert's
Einstein 100, Bogner Uberschall, 101B, CAA OD100SE+
Elmwood Modena M90, Soldano SLO, VHT UL, Engl Morse 100,
Marshall JCM 800, Wizard Metal 100. I loved each amp for
different reasons and had a blast, running the amp gauntlet!!
In the end, I now own another 2005 Quickrod with the 3 pre's
and will never part with it again. It is a keeper for the rest of
my days. But there are a few I will revisit and keep till the end
too (Bogner, Soldano & Custom Audio)

Damn, that was one hell of an amp journey! The Quickrod must be a great amp if you place it above everything else.

Did you ever happen to play a Friedman Marsha or modded Marshall?

Yup... Looks identical to mine. I can't say enough great things about that amp.

  The journey is never over my friend, it's just phase 2.
Next on my aquisition list is a Cameron CCV, Fortin Natas,
CAA PT 100, Bogner Twin Jet and a Friedman Naked to name a few.

I certainly don't place it above the others, it's just a Fantastic
Modded Marshall Tone amp for the money.
Best Bang for the Buck Amp, I've ever owned!!! Bar None.
Any type of Brown sound or 80's Rock & Metal, the
Quickrod's Grind & Midrange Bite does it in spades, trust me.

I only had a little bit of time with it tonight but damn!!!! I'm thoroughly in love with my DSL but it doesn't hold a candle to the QR. I think I'm set for a while now.
