Recently bought a new JVM. It seemed like a lot of amp for the current price and I love amps sp wtf I bought one. LOL

I had one when they first came out and I remember liking it at first and digging the features but ultimately moved on finding it a tad thin and brittle compared to say a boosted JMP or 800. I suppose that is still does but it I just play it for what it is... I like it. It is fun and forgiving and the feature set is great. Sounds great at low volume. trying it the weekend with the band. It certainly doesn't suck as bad a s I hear people say. I like it.. asian trannys and all. :ROFLMAO: Fuck it. There I said it.

I think they sound good :dunno:

They are quite a bit more modern sounding than a classic plexi or 800, but i mean, of course they are, they are a modern channel switcher

I actually liked my JVM when I had it. I thonk it gets a bad rap just because it is smoother and less raw and mid heavy than we are used to.

Trying to post a fkn clip....I plugged it straight in to the dreaded red channel of od 2 with an epiphone 355 into preset 1 on an OX and made a quick wank clip with but I cant get it to upload? .. technically challenged?

Start a SoundCloud account, upload it there, and post the link here. That’s always worked for me.

.

EPI 355 into red channel od2 Red with Gain almost off. straight into OX preset 1 into UA Volt 246 into Garage band. first clip since Tascam portastudio days, LOL.

Sounds great! thanks for takin the time to make a clip! It always annoys me when i'm the only one posting clips of anything, and always makes me excited when other people post clips

Sounds great! I didn't realize how good the price is on these now. Congrats and keep them clips coming! What pickups are in the 355?

Thanks Dan. I shy away from posting or making cause the audience seems ruthless here and I cant think of anything worthy to play.

Thanks. I got mine new with good guy discount for 1550 to my door. Cant complain! I like it and I hav had LOTS of "more premium " amps but this things sounds good to me in the house setting. Trying it in band setting Monday.

Epi 355 is one of those inspired by Custom Shop Alex Lifeson look alike models. It has Gibson Custom Shop PUPs of some sort. Custombuckers I believe. It is a great guitar despite being an Epiphoney.

Got my JVM 210 for a song and it has stuck around, because it is a great amp! Like @DanTravis62 said, it is absolutely a "modern Marshall" and it can absolutely do that type of sound, but with some tweaking it is pretty versatile!

100% - i can see how if you were specifically going for the sort of "vintage heavy" tones they might be a little processed or sterile sounding, but the trade-off is that it's super tight and clear and mean sounding, therefore perfect for more modern marshall sound applications

Try this once . Go to Chanell 4 red . Try master volume at 7 . But have pre gain at 1 or 2 .such a killer tone
