After a lot of deliberation, i bailed on the prospect of a randall rm100 in favour of one of these monsters

Here's the strange coincidence for this one, I actually saw the sig of one of our fellow Rig-talkers selling a VHT Sig:X within the EU,
I was about a month or two late however, but he actually sold it to a friend that lives about 40km away whom i'd bought some stuff off of before, long story short he was tempted by my offer for the amp, and now i'm one happy camper =0

the amount of quality tones is great, all the switches have a good effect and are well documented in the manual, you can tailor the amp for specific guitars and really hone in a tone you're after, variety of clean tones all the way up to high gain br00tal stuff if you match guitar/settings, and all very intuitive,

extremely pleased with this , can't wait to play it at proper volume, it sounds incredible through the 2x12 with v30s tho, curious how other VHT/Fryette stuff sounds, as you don't see a lot of those amps around here

Nice amp! I've been curious about the Sig:X since they came out. Still haven't been able to plug into one though.

Gigged my VHT Pittbull Ultra Lead for the first time last weekend through my Bogner OS2X12 cab. Picked the UL up recently for $1000 with road case. It's an older forest green model. Sounded awesome! So crunchy and tight. Such a versatile amp. Perhaps the most versatile one I've ever had. I'm tempted to gig it again tomorrow night, but this gig is more classic rock and country, so I think that I'll take my XTC Classic instead for it's first time out as well. Gonna take the OS2X12 cab to that one too... as it's an awesome sounding cab that's easier to haul than my 1960B and Bogner Uberkab 4X12s.

I loved my sig x. As with most KT88 amps, it holds together really well at loud volumes. I hate amps that turn to Shit as the volume increases

that's my major gripe also.

no more 50 watters with power tubes that gas up too quick. if i am happy with the tone at about 3, i want it to be the same at 5-6.

may have to reconsider selling/trading off my new sig-x. really need to start turning that beast up and see what happens. lots of badass tones in it. and having a channel 2 that i can get close to channel 3 and control the channel volumes is way cool. i hate it when channel 2 is nowhere as cool as channel 3.

only have 2 amps now with kt88's. most of the other ones i have now are el34 or 6l6. i do have one incoming with 6550's.

i guess i could always consider running from one amps send to the return of the sig-x return and use it's badass power section as just a power amp.....

i'll try some rudimentary clips a bit later today, i posted that at 2am last night heh, i'm getting the footswitch next week as it was lost in a practice room somewhere, but i'll post some things soon

I loved that amp when I had it. Congrats!
I tried the link you posted and it didn't work.

The Sig X is the only high gain amp I use much any more.
Congratulations....

Congrats, and sweet clip! I can tell I would love playing that amp. Has that quick response, though maybe just a tad dry for my tastes. Sounds like it has a bit of a Mark IV thing happening, while maintaining its own personality. Cool!

thanks =0 , i know what you mean about the dryness but there's no post processing on the clip at all, a bit of reverb or small delay would probably help that,
