Been really digging this as of late. I pulled the front and back grilles of my Zinky Mofo for added cooling, since the low current draw KT77's are biased at 30 watts each at idle. They need the cooling, especially when run at about 2K8 Z into the Mesa 4x12, less so with the custom cab I build to Dave's spec at 5K6 (16 ohm).

Since then, I left the top off my Orange Brent Hinds when tube rolling, and it looks so cool that way I've left it like that. The Peavy Transtube Studio Pro 112 it sits on has been upgraded with a '97 16 ohm V30, and has been de-badged and taped for years.

Finally, this Rivera M60 combo had the grille removed for close miking, since the Mesa T4335 has been rear-mounted and has a 1" baffle in front.

Really digging the aesthetic. Anyone else have similar taste these days?

Love you guys, RT is an oasis in these times. :)

Dude, I grew up playing in the 70s and couldn't afford Marshalls.
Removing logos was top priority if this was your budget.

I like the peavey logo.

And I played in a road band in the 90s, and had to remove that shit from everything.

I like cabs without the logo. Even some amps are better without, like the old Marshall plexi, expecially if is a clone.
