The Friedman PLEX (EL34) NAM pack has arrived!

Community pack up for grabs on Tone3000: https://www.tone3000.com/tones/friedman-plex-el34-community-pack-49343

Full pack: https://ko-fi.com/s/04ac0fa133

ℹ️ Summary

This pack features the Friedman PLEX (EL34 loaded) head captured using a Mesa 4x12 Oversized Straight cabinet loading down the amplifier.

Bonus OD pedal profiles included.

The Legendary Tones “Mr. Scary” mod was used in 5 profiles as well for some fiery tones.

Calibrated profiles (2 architectures included: STANDARD and REVyHI) showcase the amp’s tonal range.

Since the PLEX has no FX Loop, the pack contains only AMP profiles but covers both HI and LO inputs on both the “High Voltage” and “Low Voltage” (Variac aka Brown Sound) modes.

The full pack includes includes:

126 x AMP profiles (1 x DI and 5 mic-ed up, full-rig flavors for every knob combination used)
27 x OD pedal profiles

captured using a high-quality signal chain.

TOTAL: 1,512 individual NAM amp. files (756 in STD architecture and 756 in the REVyHI architecture)

✅ Efficiency

Streamlined for users across platforms (Dimehead, Valeton GP-5 etc), AMP profiles offer 6 flavors:

• DI = raw poweramp <-> cab signal tapped with a DI box, no Microphone
• SM57 = full-rig chain, cab mic-ed with a Shure SM57 on the top-left speaker
• SM58 = full-rig chain, cab mic-ed with a Shure SM58 on the top-right speaker
• BLEND #1: full-rig chain, cab mic-ed with 2 mics (Shure SM57 & SM58) blended
• BLEND #2: full-rig chain, cab mic-ed with 2 mics (Shure SM57 & SM58 @ +3dB) blended
• BLEND #3: full-rig chain, cab mic-ed with 2 mics (Shure SM57 @ +3dB & SM58) blended

⚙️ Reamp chain details

• RME Fireface UCX II -> Lehle P-SPLIT III -> Friedman PLEX -> St.Rock React:IR II (Mesa 4x12 OS Straight load) -> RME Fireface UCX II
• SEND level: 18.995 dBu
• RETURN level: 13.195 dBu

Use the new "Calibration" feature (video linked) in the NAM plugin to get the most out of these profiles:

Rock on!

I've got a Darkglass Anagram for my bass, so may check this out for some Motorhead tones.

If you have the Anagram try loading the ones with the REVyHI architecture; they're more accurate than the Standard one and the Anagram should take it.

Just tried the HV SLP version and its probably the best cranked plexi tone I've found for NAM.

if someone wants to manually calibrate your captures, are they basing adjustments on your send level? So for example, if max input at zero with my interface is 13dBu then I need to apply 6dB so they are correctly calibrated?

Yes, you just use the SEND level for the math which is 18.995 dBu.
So if your interface sits at 13 dBu with the gain knob at unity, just lower the input in the plugin by the delta (13 - 18.995) and you should be ok.
