Name 2 single coil DiMarzios that'll blend with a Norton

Alright, time to switch out the EMGs in this Chubtone with pickups I actually like. Currently it has an 85/SA/SA combo and there is a big volume difference when switching around.

I think it's time to finally try a Norton, but will need singles. I don't like the look of the dual blade singles as much, but may be my best option. Thinking maybe a Chopper, or an Air Norton but wouldn't know which position to get the max benefit of them from.

Chopper works well in neck with a Norton bridge, and in 2 different guitars (SSH and HSH) I've thrown a Fast Track 1 in the middle; for that bright, single-coily tone without needing it to coilsplit.

Purely based on DiMarzio's website, I'd consider the Red Velvet and Injector too if I was you, and wanting to keep the single-coil look (no blades). They have decent output and brightness.

Having used the Air Norton S, Chopper and Super Distortion S in a Hamer Californian neck position (H-S), my take was that the Chopper is the only one versatile and characterful enough of those 3. The other two are overpowered in the neck position AND too dark/wooly.
The offset to the rather medium/bright sounding Norton in the bridge would be (too?) big.

but it's much more fun to bug you guys for suggestions lol

In the past I've written many times to dimarzio searching help to choose a right pickup for my guitar, and they always answered me with suggestions and tech info. In the 90's when Reb Beach joined Dokken he swap his EMG from the koa suhr to find a more "airy pickups" and he installe a Norton in the bridge and two single coil custom made from dimarzio
