...from factory..... no boost, no anything....top 3 amp that'll deliver prestine cleans (for everything, not just "rock cleans"), bluesy dirty tones, classic rock and Metal!

to me:

-Any Diezel
-Mark IV
-Randall MTS

hey jugg, since you're so knowledgable about Randalls....what a good dirt cheap S.S. randall for hard rock/metal? (I don't need no fancy shit just one solid metal channel, and DIRT cheap!)

??

Rg100ES without question. Killer amps.

NICE! I LIKE IT!

any other? btw a SS pre amp could be too

got any idea?

Pretty much any of the older Randalls, RG series stuff, Century series stuff as well.

IF you can find one the Pearce G2R is BADASS! I think they had a preamp version of it as well. Randall preamp - RGP1000 is a cool pre too, same pre section as the RG100ES.

If you can find them.....they pop up from time to time, usually for around $100-$200. Keep an eye on ebay, musicgoround, and the Dean Guitars forum.

I think psychodave has my old RG100ES for sale....

Mesa Boogie Roadster
Mark IV (I must be the only one who could find bluesy dirty tones on this thing since everyone else hates channel 2  )
Engl Screamer

But I ditched "can do it all" amps long ago :)

Egnater M4/any power amp

M4 = 8 channels of whatever you want. It has totally changed my life.

I think my Einstein does a good job at that. It's the closest I've come considering an you can just flick modes on Ch1 and you can go from a pristine clean, dirty clean to a low-mid gain bluesy to a very chunky heavy rhythm. Then you have the lead tone on Ch2. Killer.
The Mark IV's cleans are a bit bland and the same goes for the XTC, but those are good shouts too IMO. The only thing being Rhy2 on the IV can be a bit tempremental. The IIC+ has great cleans, but the mid gains did nothing for me - it sounded like it was crying out to have the gain turned up - and it can't even do two great tones without shifting the EQ so I don't think it can do it all.

This is just from personal experience. YMMV of course.
