Meh, I've heard the Axe-FX sound better than that. I'm sure my thoughts speak more to the guitar, mic placement, song and mix than the amp, but it's still underwhelming.

Better is a matter of taste, I like the sounds. It fits the music very well.

...and the Einstein, Savage and Axe FX. All sound incredible - but they all sound similar.

You can't be serious. I mean, he makes some great clips and videos that are hard to find for certain amps for people on the heavier side of metal, but his style is really dry and his riffs too simple to really get a taste of what an amp can do, at least for someone like me who's into even heavier music. He records some appreciated and awesome clips, but saying he's "among the top 5 modern metal songwriters on the internet" is ridiculous, but I guess that's all personal preference.

According to the comments on YT he likes this amp much more than his mesa.
