the fortin is a clear winner here,
much more articulate much quieter when cranked a bit more than my camera will allow and seems to be able to do a hell of lot more with the simple controls it does have
the fortin with it's pre amp shelving eqs (gains) also make the amp far more versatile and it's throaty mids and tight low end kick you in the balls, if you had a fetish for that this would be your amp, also bumps your chest, nice
i sadly have the fortin set conservatively and don't have the time or patience to mess around with either amp to give a more full gamut of what each can do
the mesa boogie mark iv is a motherfucker, i love it for different reasons,
it's not as quiet but has a nice higher mid growl that is bery nice, i like!
honestly what i dialed in for the mesa mark iv was my hoping to get it to sound similar if not spot on to the NATAS, which is well impossible i think
the mesa is cool in that it also has pre gain boosts and all sorts of options with it's push pull pots and such, the lead channel is quite awesome *duh?!
the mesa may not be the quietest amp out there, but is feature laden and very versatile, the NATAS is as well in it's own way
i guess if i had to make some sort of decision i'd still (OBVIOUSLY!!!) go with the NATAS, if finances were the issue the mesa is a f-in killer amp and i'd go for that, having both just makes it all pure winning
well i don't know what else can be said, hopefully the video speaks a little more than i can do in text, and i know at the end of the vid with the talking seems a bit redundant but whatever
any thoughts or questions are welcome, thanks
