Hi guys. Need your input about these 2 amps. My band mate in search of simple yet versatile 1 channel amp with awesome clean and dirty tones. Naylor SD-60 and Cornford MK50H can be dialed for good cleans amd dirty tones using guitar volume etc. Both are smooth type amps and I suggest to find SD-60 bcos I had SC-38 and know that it's great tone monster... but what about Cornford MK50H? Thanks in advance!

If he needs clean and dirty, then the SD60 is no good because you can't switch between the 2 "channels". I would take the Sd60 over any Cornford any day and I LIKE Cornford

Never played a cornford but the SD60 is a great amp. You're right about the lack of switching but it cleans up great when you back off of the volume fwiw. I really like the voice they have, really vocal without being too nasal.

i would say the cornford, but what style of playing?

Mostly kinda old 90s alternative rock type stuff with clean and low/hi-gain dynamics. From clean stuff of early Radiohead, Muse to mayhem in Foo Fighter, Smashimg Pumpkins style.

He don't wanna buy channel switcher but it should quiet versatile for using in recording and home practice. Naylor has killer MV, clean, semi dirty clean, low/hi gain and sounds great with pedals... but don't sure about the same things with Cornford MK50H. I checked lotsa MK50H reviews and it seems like awesome amp with all the same opportunities to get clean using volume on guitar and got awesome hi-gain sound... at least I hear it in new live clips of Skunk Anansie bcos it's band with close tones and sounds to our sound.

anyway, will appreciate any input from Naylor and Cornford users, especially if you played both amps.
