On 31-Dec I thought I ordered a use Ibanez Ergodyne EDA-9005F (5-string fretless); credit card had a pending charge and I received the order confirmation email. Tuesday, 2-Jan I received an order cancellation email stating the bass had been sold in store the same day....
I did find a used Ibanez EDA-900 (4-string fretted) which is great, but that didn't address my goal of having a 5-string fretless.
Not sure what's going on in the fretless bass market, seems like the electric fretless bass market is moving away from guitars to the upright models.
To make things more difficult to find a 5-string fretless, nearly every fretless bass guitar seems to have either some kind of dining room furniture finish or some shade of babyshit brown or green. ?
Except one, just took it out of the box: new Ibanez EHB1005F - Arctic Ocean
edit: not my first fretless, but my first 5-string bass
