Scored this from a local bro. Loaded with Eminence Guvnors and ManOWars. Can’t believe the deal I got on it. Absolutely fantastic sounding Cab.

A place my band used to rehearse at had an Avatar 2x12 that I would use when I was there. That cab sounded great with every amp I brought with me.
I can't remember the speakers that were in it - I just remember that they were 2 different ones. Brain is shot. I'm a big help.

Great cab and speakers!! I've got a Peavey 412MS cab with X pattern Guvnors and Man-O-War speakers in it. The speakers came out of a Splawn cab I bought used from GC that I eventually replaced with 25 watt greenbacks. When I got the Splawn cab, it was marked as a 16 ohm cab on the back, but had those 8 ohm Eminence speakers in it.. Even had magic marker notes written on the inside from when it was ordered showing it was supposed to have 16 ohm Guv/MOW. Appears that they loaded the right make/model of speaker, but the wrong impedance and was probably that way for years until I swapped the speakers out.

I have 2 avatar 1 12s.
Very well made and well priced

One with an ET65 the other with an early 90s JCM 900
.

I got rid of my two 4 12 marshall bottoms because i cant lift them anymore and just stack these.

Cool. I love my Avatar cab, it sounds very 3D to my ears. It's the vintage model that looks a lot like a Bogner cab. I feel fortunate that I got a 4x12 before they discontinued the 4x12 cabs, they only make 1x12 and 2x12 cabs now.

I have one of these Contemporary 4x12’s, very clear sounding, not much resonance, removing the center brace was an improvement.

I also have the Traditional 4x12 straight and slant. They’re much more resonant than the Contemporary. The slant is my favorite of the 3 but the Traditional straight is maybe the best cab for recording I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot of cabs.

I wish they still made 412 cabs.....

I have always been curious about those Man o Wars. I have been loving the Swamp Thangs lately.
