Well it took me almost 3 years, but I finally found one for a great price..... And it was only 3 hours away!!

Ladies and gentlemen, the Rivera Los Lobottom Sub 2 :D

This beast is intense! Sure it'll bring the lows to shake the foundations of your home, but when utilizing the high-pass circuit in my Rivera KR 100 what I noticed the most was the way my mids and highs cleaned up sooooo much!! It was crazy to hear/feel. What I like the most is my clean tones. The Sub cab REALLY adds depth and makes them so rich.

All I need now is a black grill cloth so everything matches and a rack case.

Badass. I've gone back and forth on whether I want one. The main point of contention I get from other musicians is that low frequencies are for bass and not guitar. It seems that most guitarists I know are very stuck in the linear head and cab with pedals on the floor formula. I'm honestly surprised that we don't see more of these based on how low tunings get these days. The only guy of note I can think of that is linked to one is Nick Hexum.

What is that ibby tuned to?

Yeah it is a little outside-of-the-box for guitar players. Unique? Yes. Practical? Questionable. After spending a little time with it I could see how you might get too much into the bass range, but it's all in how you manage your sound. And I do agree, it is VERY surprising there aren't more out there considering the amount of extreme sub drop tuning there is! I really love the full range aspect the sub cab brings, especially to your cleans. THAT is where it really shines I think. And as for users there's Nick Hexum, Mick Mars, Jim & Mick from Slipknot have them (not sure if they ever used them live or not, but they do have them), Head & Munky of KoRn (for a recorded tone, the Follow the Leader and Issues albums used the Bonehead's w/ Sub 2's), Meegs from Coal Chamber (he recorded Dark Days with the Sub 2's and toured with them as well), Adam Jones of Tool used a KS312 sub cab on there tour last year and from what I understand from Rivera themselves is that alot of studio's have them for recording.

My main/8 string is tuned 'standard' (F#BEADGBE) and I also have an Ibanez K-7 tuned to A standard. The Sub cab definitely helps with the low F#!

Sweet! I've always wanted one of those. Luke uses a simular one with his current rig. I could definately see the cleaning up a guitar tone- if used properly.

Very cool. Probably overkill for you standard 6string player, but looks really cool if you play a 7or more string guitar....

i've wanted one of those or an isp vector for years. lucky fucker.

Can't wait to find a sub 2, only have a sub 1 ATM but I'm looking!

That's a great looking rig. I also play a Rivera, a K-Tre. I also have a rockcrusher coming next week. How do you like it? Thanks a lot, I'm now gassing for a Rivera cab so I can have my rig look so cool.

Nice!! I'm also a Rivera fan but haven't had a chance to check out the kr100 yet. I have the k-tre and a rock crusher as my main rig. That's a SWEEET setup you have.

I have the KR-7. How would you describe the difference with the rock crusher vs just using the loop and the levels there as far as how the sound compares?

 Thanks guys. Love the Sub 2. Even found a second one.... Just can't get the money together quite yet haha.

The Rockcrusher is an incredible unit. I haven't tried the loop trick as I've always ran an attenuator (first a THD Hot Plate and now the Rockcrusher). The Rockcrusher does what it should, attenuate without sacrificing tone or feel. I highly recommend it. I'm wanting to upgrade to the Rockcrusher recording now though....

Congrats. I am a diehard Rivera fan and have been for a long time. They are all quality. I would love to get a sub to go with my KHR 55, but maybe someday when I have the room and the money. I sure as hell don't have the need. I just always wanted one and since the amp has the controls, why not..lol.
