Seeing as how Saxon is pretty uncommon, here is a quick review of a Saxon cab. Took two weeks of build time and a week of shipping to get to me.
It's a Saxon Vertical 212 built to Mesa Recto Vertical 212 specs, but with a convertible back. Speakers are a Private Jack and a Man-O-War.
Build quality on the cab is very good. With the exception of the handles, everything looks cleanly cut and put together. The tolex looks good with no imperfections.
Tim from Saxon does a decent packing job. Unlike those smucks at Lopo who don't pad their boxes or use boxes that are not too big for the cab, this cab double boxed with a tight fit. Padding was thin, but more than adequate. He's also a very accommodating fellow, and communication with him is lightning quick.
I'm still in the honeymoon phase since the cab only got here two hours ago, but it sounds great so far. I've honestly never heard a better fat, crunchy rock tone out of my AOR and HT5.
I you live in Canada and want a good custom cab for cheap, check out Saxon cabs. I will definitely be ordering another one in the near future.
