Well Saturday morning was a good one. In the stand for about 2 hours and this 8 point walks out to my right. I do not know how much he weighs yet but I could not lift him on to the 4 wheeler. Off to take him to be processed.I think this one is worthy of going on the wall. Now that Im back home I think I will go play sum Ted Nuggent

Fire up the grill for some Back Straps Baby!

MY Dad has been a hunter forever and iv never heard him talk of BACK STRAPS ,what the hell are they? He would just make South Philly style cheese steaks with the meat.

Without men fighting/Protecting for our Country I would not be able to do this. THANK YOU :salute:

Back Straps and tenderloins the meat along the inner and outer spine. The most tender are the Inner "Tender loins"

muscle found on either side of the backbone from the front shoulders to the hind quarter.

makes me sad to see the look on the animal's face

I hope you hit it straight in the heart so it was a clean kill

Nice rack dude!!(betcha dont hear that too often!) MMMMM yeah I will second that deer stew!

nice deer bro!

the rut is kicking in here bigtime. I passed on a couple 120's because Ive seen a couple 140-150's. Its so hard to pass on those feakin deer after sitting for hours on end...but its worth the reward if it all works out

its hard for me to kill anything, but on the other side of the coin, if we didn't hunt them, they would over populate and cause harm to the environment as well as car/deer accidents. Here in Michigan, the number of "reported" car accidents involving deer is about 70,000 a year.
