Easy-peasy. You just gotta pick a sub-forum to go into before creating a thread and it's all-good.

Doesn't worry me in the slightest. I check the root level ("outside" the sub-forums) every day for "lost" threads and shift them to where they'll be more at-home. I'm the only one doing it AFAICT, but hey, I feel good helping to keep things neat.
