USA Schecter Avenger with a Honduran Mahogany body and 25.5” bolt-on Maple neck/RW board.

I’ve gone through too many pickups to name, but have never been happy with the tone...but the guitar is sentimental so I can’t sell.

it needs more output (currently have an Illuminator) and more saturation and more volume. I want something aggressive but huge and saturated as well. This guitar is fairly balanced , but without the necessary gain and saturation it’s got too much single coil like snap.

I tend to not like BKP pickups btw.

Suggestions? 500T, SH-6, Lundgren M6, AFWAYU?

I have the Iron man, just haven't put it in the guitar. However. I have had a seymour duncan 59/hybrid in like 5 guitars and there wasn't a thing I could say negative about it. If I don't like the ironman, that is what i will go back to. It is damn near a perfect pickup.

So many options. What about the dime pickup? I usually glance over those but I heard one the other day and was impressed.

The Ironman is like 23k and will slam the shit out of your amp. It’s tight, but also very juicy, with a great feel. I wouldn’t call it saturated, but it certainly isn’t dry. It’s a wicked pickup.
Will definitely look into it then!

Find a used Super V, old Lynch custom shop model, high gain brutality, yet tight and defined.

Emg retro actives? Another pickup that works well in the right guitar. Usually a darker guitar.
I’ve given EMGs a thought, and Drop tune her to drop B :) I don’t need a 3rd 1/2 step down axe

I’m listening to some clips and really digging the EMG 57. Anyone use these?
