Some of the best clips over at Metro are done with a JB, so it really is the hands.


my pick would be to find a used Warren DeMartini pickup. i suck and like the hotter pickups.

I used Code001's '59 a little while ago and told myself if I ever built an EVH guitar I would use that pickup.

All these will absolutely get you there: Suhr SSV+, Motor City Black Iron (a little more push), Wolfetone Marshallhead A2, Bare Knuckle VHII (slightly bright), Duncan '78.

I have an A2 Duncan CC/59' hybrid in my strat right now and it does a damn good EVH IMO. It's got a tad more punch than the '78 that I had in it...
