Ive been hearing alot of good things about these Bare Knuckle pickups. I went to there website and read each description of them, but Im having a difficult time choosing which one to get. I'm on the fence between the Nailbomb, Warpig, or PainKiller. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Im currently using EMGs, but I want to try something different. My style of music is Metal (from slow grind breakdowns, fast articulate gallops, to delayed cleans/ leads) -Thanks

I have owned a Nailbomb and currently own a Warpig. The Nailbomb was my main pickup for about a year. I really liked it and I compare it to a JB that is better balanced with a tad more crunch in the high end. Mine had an Alnico 5 magnet. I like the Warpig a lot and it is currently in my main guitar. It is a tad hotter and has better low end than my Nailbomb did. It is also maybe a tad smoother in the highs to my ears. It also has an Alnico 5 in it. I also own a Motor City Pickups Solution and think you might really like that since you use EMGs. The Solution is way less compressed and has more output than an 81, with better low end and nice crunchy but not piercing high end. The mids are very smooth in that pickup. Mine has an Alnico 5 in it, I think.

Hope that helps.

Def consider the Motor Cities as well.
I agree,i have EMG 81's in almost all my guitar's until i heard a guitar with Motor city pickups,so after
i heard a few more i bought a (Solution) and at some point i'll change all of them, they warm up the
crunch better then the 81's,takes about a day to get used to them but you'll be happy.
EMG's are really sterile sounding with no shape,Motor cities have a great warm sound and
can get the highs as well. You won't be disappointed.

The closest pickup BKP makes to an EMG is the Miracle Man. Except the Miracle Man has a much wider frequency range and is so much more clearer than the EMG. It has the punch and power of the EMG, but so much more dynamic and responsive. Great pickup! If you want a little more organic pickup that has an Alnico V magent, you may want to try the Nailbomb or a Warpig if you want tons of output and a little more compressed.

The Miracle Man and Painkiller both have ceramic magnets....so you'll get that low end chunk and a very focused midrange that ceramic magnets produce. Great for detuned chug, but a little more compressed and they don't clean up quite as well when you roll the volume down....if that really matters if you're just playing metal anyway.

Thank you so much everybody for your help!!!!! After reading everybody posts and Luxxtones' description of the Miraclemans and painkillers pups, I believe those are more up my alley. Thanks again everybody for your help!!!!
