What’s up team Rig Talk?

I’m trying to help a friend identify a guitar.

I’ve never been much of a fender person.

I don’t know what kind of pick ups these are Yeah would appreciate any tips. You guys might have on what model this is, etc.

Thank you! att.yvmLQVT4WUFf5kXK0KS2Aelr_XBp9xqI1eGdbB-4Zbc.jpegatt.Q3A4RI0dLSKR9Cpwj6zov_qUnPh5vXnFoN-eT05ax5w.jpeg

Thank you, Lisa!

Anybody know if these things are any good?

Never played on them.

Any other tips about the guitar appreciated.

Only familiar with the humbucker variants, but if that's an ebony board and has locking tuners; I would take the neck off and see if it's one of the early custom shop guitars.

Could be an American Standard with Gold Lace Sensors swapped in.

Could be an Eric Clapton Strat.

Could be a Strat Plus.

Gold Lace Sensors are for many a love them, or hate them pickup. I am firmly in the love them category. They sound vintage warm, fat, and juicy clean or with some overdrive. They sound great with fuzz and highgain with a very low to non-existent noise floor versus many Fender type traditional single coils.

They aren't humbuckers, they're true single coils with extremely low noise.

Thank you, I think most of the Eric Clapton‘s had his signature near the high e string on the headstock. Could there be some without a signature?
