Hello, guys (and girls).
I'm from Norway, so please excuse my english :doh:

I'm looking for some advice for my upcoming setup. I do not know much about which pedals to put where in the circuit since I had a tech do it for me a few years ago. He did a good job, but I'm about to move up to the next level.

This is what I've been running.

Guitar -> Pete Cornish G-2 -> ISP Decimator ch.1 -> T-Rex Twister II -> T-Rex Replica -> Holy Grail Reverb -> ISP Decimator ch.2 -> Diezel Herbert.

I've been experiencing that the noisegate cuts my echo and reverb, and I'm slightly tired of that. However, I just bought the Eventide Timefactor and Modfactor. I want to get rid of the T-Rex Twister II and Holy Grail Reverb (might as well get rid of the Replica as well).

And my question to you guys is:
How can I do my setup without having my Decimator cut my effects?

Help is much appreciated :thumbsup:

I suppose you´ve tried to change your noise gate settings????

Try to put it this way:

I want to have my setup in a way that doesn't allow the ProrackG Decimator to cut my effects too early.

I want the following components in my loop:
Eventide Timefactor -> T-Rex Replica -> Eventide Modfactor
The question is;
Should the loop come before or after ch2. on the noisegate?

So your ISP is the last effect before going into the amp and the first effect out of the effects loop right?, the Evetides effects in the loop there-after etc after shouldnt be affected by the ISP decimator?

Has anyone else noticed that ISP decimators take away the organic feel of tone??
I used ISP's on amps like marshalls etc i never needed a ISP with a VH4 and i tried a ISP on a Hagen and found that the Hagen is much more lush and organic sounding with out.

Yes and because of that I sold it. In my opinion the same applies to all noise gates I have tested. Getting your singnal path cleaned from ground loops and other shielding & grounding problems is better solution.

The gate will always cut your delay and reverb trails unless you place them after the gate which do not work unless your FX-units are not making any added noise.

I recommend putting the Eventides in loop(s). Mod to serial and TF either in parallel or serial. I own also TF and use it in my home "rig". It is practically noiseless and does not ruin your dynamics when set up correctly. I really love the spillover feature which lets the delay trails fade. (and the reason is not because my another band's name is Spillover ;) ).
