Ok just started installing these about half an hour ago...

So I pretty much installed most of the stuff without a hitch (or so I thought), but now when I plug in my guitar to test everything.. I only hear the active pickups when I tap them on the Rhythm switch..I hear nothing through the middle position and treble position. Did I plug something in wrong or is one of the cords defective?

I posted photos showing the color cords and where I plugged them in at.

Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated!

The pickups themselves are backwards. The EMG logo needs to be in the bottom corner, treble side of the bridge.

I'd bet the quick connects are backwards too then.

1. Your pickups are backwards. The EMG logo should be on the side closer to the knobs.

2. Did you plug the battery in?

Ok, I checked and the pickups were plugged in correctly..as seen below..

Also put them in correctly

I still only hear sound coming from the Rhythm position.

I plugged the green wire into bridge..red wire into neck..white wire into On (middle position I'm assuming).. and I plugged the black wire into ground.

Those quick connects are a nightmare to troubleshoot - I just hate that system soooo much..

They sound better if their not installed.

Ditto! WTF weird ass pattern is that on them? Thats the ZW set now? What happened to a regular black emg?

Really make sure you have the plugs in the buss going the right way. I've always hooked them up wrong. Easy system but they could explain it better in the instructions.

I would unplug everything, drink a beer, and start over taking my time. Also, stupid question but, where's the battery. I don't see it. You did plug in the battery and jack?

Thanks for the help and no help (cough, cough RJF). I fixed them and it works like a charm now :)

Good work! Now take a multimeter set it to ohms and check for the proper output on the PUP's.

Resistance. Before and after I install any PUP's I use the multimeter to check the resistance to make sure that all is good. Before to make sure the PUP is not faulty and after to make sure it is correct.
