The "Damping" switch on the back of my Peavey TripleX needs replaced. It controls the tight/mid/loose response of the amp.

It's a three position switch w/ the following stamped on it: 3A 125 VAC 0.5A 125 VDC.

In searching the google, I found some switches that read 3A 125 VAC, and then others at 0.5A 125 VAC, but no 0.5A 125 VDC.

I'm guessing the VAC means Voltage Alternate Current while VDC means Voltage Direct Current? Is the 3A 125 VAC for this side of the pond and the 0.5A 125 VAC for the other side of the pond? Totally clueless here (again).

Any way, if any of you guys out there can point me to the correct switch and the place to order one, I'd really appreciate it. I found a couple sites like mouser.com and digikey.com, but am afraid to pull the trigger on the wrong part.

Thanks!

have you tried emailing peavey customer support? They are very good about letting you know what you need, if they stock it, etc. usually pretty reasonable priced components too.

Actually I did exactly that. The lightbulb finally came on and I contacted them. :D

Got one on the way!
