Has anyone had difficulties working the capture feature? The tutorial videos seem easy until you try it yourself..

Honestly, I found it to be incredibly simple. What are you struggling with? Are they just not turning out right?

Yes, seems that the result is different.. I've had it now for a few months and haven't spent much time with the capture feature. Took 7 months to get it and well worth the wait but was curious if anyone had similar issues with the edits of the captures. I work with Chris Poland and he has one as well and working on capturing all of his racks from the Megadeth days.. So he has his fill with that..

That wound be insane. What an underrated player and tone.

Chris Poland is the most humble down to Earth artists I work with. I have a bunch of data to post once my page is set up in the Manufacturers section. Here is a video my tech Scott Gailor shot @2020 winter Namm.

I have found going all the way through all the devices gives a more accurate capture than doing each one separate. This includes the cab+ mic or cab sim of your preference. All baked in.

It has a hard time capturing distortion with a fuzzy aspect, I believe it’s called square wave distortion.

I have found it way more authentic than the kemper is at capturing my amps the way I like them set up.

See this is what I been curious about. I have a Kemper and tried profiling my amps so many times using different tools etc and was never happy with them... Any other QC comparisons for capturing you can share? I've asked in FB groups but the fan boys for either side jump in showing blind devotion without facts everytime.

If you watch this video by fluff and Sweetwater it gives a pretty good impression of how close it is to an amp. No not exact but good.

This is a good comparison of the QC vs Kemper.
It shows the character of each unit if you listen very carefully. Here I can hear the extra depth in the QC tones.

Each unit imparts their character on the cloned amp tone, or perhaps it’s the A/D D/A ? …Whatever it is, each box has a sound.

To me the QC has a more complex capture ,
The distortion seems to have a more depth and feels / reacts more like the amp.

Some guys may prefer the character of the kemper.. I mean some love the boss metal zone , right?? , especially if it’s what your used to.
