Never Realized It'd Be So Hard Picking A Pedalboard

Up until recently I've made my last 2 boards. Nice solid builds: One was 34"x15" and the other 24"x14". They're kind of heavy and flat-style so I can't get my power supplies underneath. Now I've added the Musicomlab 62M. This was the last version of my board before I put the power cables in.

I find myself going back and forth between the Pedaltrain Novo 18 and Novo 24. I've considered the Temple Audio and Trailer Trash stuff but keep coming back to the PT.

Was hoping to see some of your boards for inspiration and ideas. I know there are tons of pics over the TGP but those boards/rigs don't really relate to what I have.

Thanks.
Dave

Pedal train boards are legit and the new ones allow for multiple power supplies.

Here's my Trailer Trash that I've had for a couple years now. It was inspired by the super clean boards that I've seen Dave Friedman do.
Love it!
Definitely less flexible than the Pedaltrain if you like to swap things frequently though.

Very nice. I think these are still flexible as you can change out the top. They do look really nice too. Is there any flex under your foot though?

Yes- you can change the top or just wire it all above the board (rather than through for max cleanliness) if you like to swap out frequently.

By flex under foot, do you mean 'give' in the board? It is pretty firm, enough to instill confidence standing on top of it, but it has a comfortable feel. Maybe some of that comes from the 3M Dual Lock I used to secure the pedals.

Not at all with the Trailer Trash boards, they are solid as can be but heavy.

Here's my old 48x18 board:

The big board was a bit obnoxious taking it to gigs especially on small stages. I put all the digital effects that required a 4CM in a rack and went with a smaller board.
Here is the Temple Audio Trio 21 board I use now:

It's very light but flexy; I put an extra brace on the bottom to help. I would not recommend any of the larger sizes especially if you stomp hard on your pedals.

Shameless plug: I'll make a great deal on the 48x18 Trailer Trash board; it has a case and I have a brand new unused top for it.

The Trio 21 is the size I was thinking about. Not too worried about flex now that I have a switcher. I like that it's 18" deep. I hate that the PTL boards are only 14.5"

Except that they don't make the PT-3 or a comparable model anymore and that happens to be exactly the size I need.

I went through the same thing recently and decided to racknmost of my pedals so I just went with a flat board for my g system and expression pedals.

Does that Temple Audio trio have any give to it while using the volume or wah pedals? I assume you can't stand on it.

On my board, no it's pretty solid but the LF controller adds a lot of rigidity to the top. You definitely want the expression pedals on the sides though. I like the mounting plates but the sticky tape they come with is terrible. I uses some Parma double sided RC tape; it sticks great and peels off clean.

It's funny the simplest pedal board is the hardest thing to find

I laughed when I saw the subject of your post because it reminded me that out of all of the gear I purchased my pedalboard was the one that involved the most thought.

I went with Pedal Pad for a couple of reasons. One is the cost. I also had a problem with my OD pedals getting to much noise from sitting basically right on top of the voodoo lab PP2+. I like the transformer more in the Decibel 11 fwiw. Plus you get more space with the fold up tier. As you can see that 's where I put mid midi devices.
