Since I could not get what I wanted from Marshall, I made it...

I wanted a fixed baffle design like the Bogner, but slightly different dimensions. I still need to get with Jim about some speakers, and wrap the back.

The best part is everything but the plywood, I already had left over from all the 4x12 projects. The grill cloth is scrap I had from one of the '73 cabs.

Impressed man. Good stuff

I'd pay for you to do work for me, so clean!

That is a sweet cab ! Nice work . How long have you been building cabs?

Guitar specific, this is my first from scratch build. However, I have many a home/car speaker box.

Great Job!

OK it is killing me. How did you cut perfect circles? Are them Rabbet joints? I really want to build my 2x12 vert slant. Just a little scared to mess things up.

Circle cutter...

However, I jigsaw and a steady had will work just fine.

I wanted to do box joints, but my jig is not designed for something this size. I ended up using dowels and corner blocks. I have no doubt this method is actually stronger than fingers, but some things you just want to keep old school.

Nice work. Very clean. Im building a pair of thiele cabs and they dont look as nice as yours

I cut my holes with my RotoZip.

My joints where just glue and nails

RotoZip works just fine, but I would caution against using metal fasteners if you plan to round over the edges.

You can get something like this

Or just pick up a bag of dowels for like $3 and drill without a jig.

Add some Titebond III, and that shit will never come apart.

Good point. I never thought of that. I dont have a router any way. I was just going to smooth the edges out with my palm sander. Heres my project - still not finished

That looks like it is coming along nicely!

I still have one more '70's 4x12 to finish up, and one more 2x12.

I don't know when I will get the next 2x12, I am about burnt out on the cab redos.

Very nice...I'd love to try something like that as a summer porject.
How did you cut so clean and steady the speaker holes in the baffle?
I think mine would look like a 104 sided stop sign. :D

A plunge router and Jasper jig are your friend. :D

Will the top fit a regular sized head ? I'm a big fan of the Bogner OS 2x12 , but this is :inlove:
