I know what your all thinking who gives a shit.

But Heard this on the radio the other day and it sounded nothing like any of the over produced stuff from the past 25 years.

Guess they worked with the producer who did Toys in the attic and Rocks?

Anyways, i think this sounds just like Mid-70's aerosmith

Sounded like Cheap Trick to me. Who I like. But not Toys in the Attic or Rocks.

I wonder if they will be getting Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner to play guitars again.

It was sad when I found out Aerosmith did not play the leads in the studio for Train Kept a Rollin. No wonder I always thought that was the single best bit of lead playing for Aerosmith, ever...

Speaking for myself, Its Aerosmith, one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I dont need any other reason to buy it.

I really like what I hear so far...

I second that sentiment.

LOL Hunter and Wagner set the bar. If Brad and Joe practiced another 40 years they still wouldn't get it. I wouldn't buy an Aerosmith album if it was $1:00. In my world they were at their peak 73-75.

I liked that 9 Lives disc. They have been solid except for the drug collapse year or two.

But I had found out about the studio guest playing of Wagner and Hunter, then started looking at credits for Dan Huff. A few amazing studio players out there. Supposedly wag and Hunter played on a few KISS albums without listed credit.

Anyway, yeah, I like some good old Aerosmith, I just know a few of the best licks were by someone else.

I actually dig this tune a good amount, and yes, I like that it sounds like a classic rock record instead of over-produced rock. I like permanent vaca & some of 9 lives, pump. But this seems maybe a return to roots with good production for what they do.

Wagner played the Sweet Pain solo on KISS' Destroyer, that is all

Definatly sounds better then more recent records, u can hear classic 70's Aerosmith vibe in there.

I'm a big Smith fan, early stuff kick ass. This just doesn't cut it for me. Just my opinion.

I don't have any compelling desire to download it. But, the fact that the original band is still together and doing what they enjoy is reason enough to appreciate it. Most would have thrown in the towel by now and these boys endured a hell of a lot.

The new album is decent so far (it's starting to grow on me) but nothing will capture that magic of the first five albums for me. Brad's solo on "Nobody's Fault" and how nasty and dark Round and Round on "Toys" sounded is when the boys had it. Funny thing is, I saw the original JPP in 2009 and it was everything from "Aerosmith" to "DTL" and that was it!

I got out the first five disc last night and relearned several of my favorites from them.
