Like having a hot step-sister....you just don't know what to expect next out of the Herbert

Crank that gain on Ch. 3 dude and mash on it

BTW, how does it go with the Mills cab and what is it loaded with V30's?

The mids can get a bit raspy if up past 1 o clock, but the mid cut handles it very well :)

The mid cut/level control is one of the things that make this amp work for me. I always leave the function engaged on mine. Otherwise, I don't think I would find it as suitable.

After you get cozy with it, make some comments about your Mills cab.

Thx,
Steve

Congrats, and I have to agree with steve about the mid cut. I like mine on everything.

Congrats! ...but....umm..the gain on channel 2...maybe a little on the high side?

it's true, it needs to be a tad lower :)

Haven't spent time tweaking Ch2. 99% of the time I was on Ch3. I was just trying to see how much gain was on tap for ch 2+ and was pleasantly surprised. It's ok, I won't create a rift in the time-space continuum or anything

The Mills cabs are great and sound amazing with the Herbert and VH4. They are HUGE and HEAVY (weight and tone ;))
