I dont post new gear days anymore but today was pretty badass so i figured i would share it.
excuse the shitty quality of my photos, the iphone sucks for pics.

i got my splawn nitro, splawn 4x12 with gov/man speakers, 2007 bogner xtc classic, and last week i got a zakk wylde limited edition 2203 jam 800.

i never expected to get everything at once, i got to spend a little time with the marshall and so far i love it, i like the 6550 tubes in it better than the el34's. i boosted it and played it thru my uberkab and it was sounding awsome.

so far im blown away with what im hearing from the nitro, i didnt expect for it to arrive today and i figured it would come in when i was gone to ufc88 in atlanta, im so happy the wait is over now.

the xtc classic is really awsome too, i remember where i had some of my settings when i had my 101b a few years ago and in 5 min i had a couple nice tones, the classic has more gain than i expected it to have. i think i like the classic better than the 101b, it seems less compressed and more open sounding with more mids.

i cant give any reviews because i gotta get my shit together to leave for ufc 88 but i will keep a eye on this thread.

Congratz Tom. Looks awesome. That Splawn half-stack makes me all tingly. :lol: :LOL: Make me want to get another Nitro. The XTC is killer too. :thumbsup:

How do you like the Splawn cab compared to the Ubercab. When I played my Nitro through my friends Splawn cab with the same speaker compliment I thought it sounded alot better than through my Ubercab.
 
my splawn cab has the gov/mano speakers so they do sound a little different than my uberkab, next week i will play the same amp thru both cabs, i spoke to a few splawn guys and they really like the nitro with that gov.man combo and thats why i ordered it that way, i remember i think you had something about teh nitro you didnt like it, im not sure but maybe you would like it with some other cabs.

I played my Nitro/Ubercab side by side with Windsen's Nitro/Splawn cab (w/Gov & MOWs). I liked the Nitro through the Splawn cab alot more. My problem with the Nitro at first was that I couldn't really dial out this weird highend frequency - very shrill. I put an eq in the loop and that seemed to work for me. I later found that other people have similar issues when playing Splawns through v30s. If I ever get another Nitro, I'll definately get a Splawn cab to go with it.

I really wished I tried it with el34s too. I had kt77s in mine.

really they all do sound awsome, its too bad i wont get to play them all weekend and really get to spend quality time with them, so far i love what im hearing from all of them and i didnt have any probs dialing in tones. :D
