I just ordered on of these... It adds an extra channel (sort-of), and also an effects-loop after the amp output. Does anyone have any hands-on experience with this?

I almost ordered one for my Brixton since it will take a low watt head and make it louder but decided I didn't need to make the Brixton any louder at this point. I may try one in the future if the need arises. Guys who have them on TGP say they sound good.

Looks cool, but it'll really depend on how good the built in power amp is, which I think is Class D? Let us know what you think of it when you get it.

The only thing I've heard negative is a slight drop off in the upper end. All attenuators do that, but with a loop built in (great idea) you could eq that back out.

It's an attenuator right? Why would it have a power amp in it? Or is that for the loop?

If the loop is parallel that is cool. Nothing else really does that - adding fx after the output back into the signal

It's an all-in-one reamp box. It has a load and a Class D power amp, I think. If the loop is parallel, that'd be bitching, but I think it's just an insert between the load and the power amp.

As mentioned, you can use it either to attenuate or reamp and pump up the volume. Neat device.

Received my Bad Cat Unleash today. It's a cool looking unit, and seems to work great as re-amp device. As an attenuator, I'm not as pleased with it. I can hear what sounds like a bit of 'ripple' from what I assume is the fan? It also caused my tubes to heat-up quickly! Way more than my Rivera Rockcrusher does at the same volume settings. This may be due to the type of load it's using?

I then plugged into a Klon > Zinky 'cigarette-box' amp > Bad Cat Unleash >Mojave 4x12 to test its re-amp capabilities... Awesome! The effects-loop runs parallel, so that should put to rest earlier concerns... As far as keeping it - I don't know? My Rivera RC keeps my amp much cooler and it attenuates better than anything I've previously tried. If you're looking to re-amp, I think this may be just the ticket!

Thanks for your report. I especially appreciate your honesty about the tubes. I was think of getting one to reamp my Brixton loader but I wasn't sure about the loading of my amp damaging it. I'll probably just stick to my wet dry and mic'ing the amp to get louder
