One of these tracks is a cover song... can you guess which? I have no idea, but I think it's either Zeppelin's "Friends' or Tom Robinson's "War Baby" or Billy Joel's "My Life"... Which do you think suits him? Mind you, Ian's a little left-of-centre, so I don't expect it to be a Zep tune. This is a guy that covered The Cars' "Let the Good Times Roll" on Albatross.

One of my favourite bands but the release schedule is VERY 'old school', "Hey,let's release a single 3 months in advance then release the album 2 months later AND stagger it across geographies".WTF is that in todays connected world?

Not sure why they cant do it Beyonce style, BOOM, come get the album. By the time it makes its way to the rest of the world it will be old news already, everyone that wants it will have found a way to download it, legally or illegally, and Ian and the band are the ones that lose out.

Are they trying to create a buzz? The buzz was created 2 weeks ago when they put Ghosts up on the website (snippet then long version then radio edit. Again WTF?) That buzz will have well and truly disappeared by the middle of July! It's not 1975 anymore......

I really don't get it!

Bro, you're not the only one. This sentiment is echoed BIG TIME amongst BW fans... especially the US fans. I don't understand the rationale behind this kind of slow push, but one thing's for sure: the release schedule for Ghosts is miles ahead of Albatross. It took almost a YEAR after the Canadian release for the band to find representation/release Albatross in the US.

This album should be great as they used the same personnel formula as Albatross. Ian Thornley + Eric Ratz + Nick Raskulinecz.

Up until about last year when someone here turned me on to the "Albatross" video, I'd never heard of Big Wreck or Ian Thornley. To have discovered one of my all time favorite artists in my 40's when I actually knew it was happening, has been awesome. The "Albatross" album is one of my favorite albums of all time. One of my desert-island albums. Perfect. Up there with albums like Aerosmith Rocks, Cheap Trick's Standing On The Edge, Back In Black, SOaD's Mesmerize.

Plus, it is one artist that my 14 year old son and I both appreciate. We have nothing else in common musically. I'm done.

Cool stuff, I had "In Loving Memory Of..." on cassette. The cascading delay on "Blown Wide Open" is like a benchmark in my mind.

Can't wait for this to be released. And yes, the release schedule is stupid. I'll have to see if I can get one of our Canadian members to buy a CD for me. :)
