Wow, very Soundgarden-ish. Couldve been on Down on the Upside. I dig it!
Haven't heard much of these guys for awhile but I'll definitely be checking this new stuff out. Thanks for posting.

Oh ya, a new CD to get into before the year is over.
The clip sounds like they are not changing which is great, same old Big Wreck.

Thanks for the heads up.

THANKS. I LOVED LOVED LOVED their first album In Loving Memory. For me it was one of the best albums of the 90's. This sounds very promising.

I remember when Thornley first came out and thought they were bad ass. Good stuff!

Awesome! They were broken up for a good while, so it's great news to see that they are back. Thornley's solo album was pretty watered down compared to the band.

He had 2 Thornley albums. I didn't like the first one at all, Nickleback wanna be tunes and the 2nd disc had some catchy tunes on it but it came off like a Goo Goo Dolls album.

+1000
Great tone, great riffs, great songs. Didn't think it sounded like Nickelback at all. If you know Ian, then you can hear that album sounded just like him playing solo. A more stripped down, thicker and heavier sounding than any Big Wreck album.

Dig the song. Thanks for posting. Ian can do no wrong in my book.

Here's a clinic where he talks gear, etc. Skip to 5:00 to hear what he can do with the instrument.

Thanks for posting this. I had now idea that they were working together again. What a wonderful singing guitar tone.

 I disliked it very much. Generic sounding dull songs. The first 2 Big Wreck albums sounded like a cross between Led Zep and Soundgarden and Come Again sounded like just another version of Theory Of A Deadman or something. To each his own, but it sounds like he's back to the style of the first 2 Big Wreck albums, Thank God.

Andrew turned me on this guy a while ago, good stuff. Thornley is a seriously talented guy

Wow never knew they got back together. I still listen to both of the CD's regularly.

BIG thanks for the heads up!

Me too. Sounded like Nicklecrap???????

Nicklecrap couldn't even come close.

Call me a fanboi, but I have loved everything that Ian Thornley has done. All of his discs are in regular rotation in my truck. The Pleasure and the Greed is a masterpiece of an album. I also loved both Thornley discs. The guy just oozes talent.

Huge Thornley and Big Wreck fan here. Got to open for Thornley once, and hung out with Ian and his band at a different show. Super talented guitarist and songwriter, and a very nice guy as well. He had a monster of a drummer the first solo album. Sekou Lumumba. What a talent.

I personally loved the first Thornley album. Some very cool heavy tones on that one and cool songs. He used a reverse wired Yamaha NS10 to mic his cabs on that one. Second Thornley album, although had some cool material, I had a hard time listening to it because of the mix. Guitars were too low in the mix. The snare sound was as dry as a geriatric fart. I had high hopes for it but it's my least favorite. And for the record, Chad Kroeger co-wrote on that album. That's all fine by me, I like Nickelback.

Here's a cool Thornley tune that came out before the 2nd album, but didn't go on the actual album.

Oh, and back on topic. New Big Wreck tune is good, but doesn't blow me away. I know they will deliver though.

Ian is rocking a new amp these days..... ;) Helping him work on his live/recording rig.
