New Bigass cab day!

I traded two pedals that I bought for a total of $88 for this...

Two speakers dead two good. It is massive and extremely heavy. This is going to be my bass cab! It's a 4x12" pyramid cab, and it will be getting 12 inch bass speakers


The baffles were loose, so I reglued everything with a construction adhesive, and it's solid as a rock. I line-x'd the inside pretty heavy and I reinforced the front frame. The speakers that are good will sell for $50 a pop and I am looking to load it with 200 watt Celestion Pulse 12"ers. I will likely add a little bit of polyfill


It's a monster! Now all I need is a 400-600 watt bass head.

As for your 4-600w head, if you haven't bought it yet, may I recommend the old Galien Kruger 400RB if you want punch and cleanliness, or an old Ampeg if you want a bit o' dirt?

I have been interested in the new orange bass terrors a bit.

I think that it is going to be the new version of the bass terror. I will snag one when I find a good price used. 500 watts, DI out, tube pre SS power, seems to sound pretty damn good.

Yeah, I see a lot of Japanese rock outfits using it IIRC, and they're sticklers for tone.
