scored a 2-12 loaded w/hemp alnico and ceramic models

played them at NAMM and liked the nico's jensen P12N vibe and the ceramic V30 lineage without the nastiness plus Mikey L rocks those and he's my hero

eggie and carol Ann have a new playmate!

I love my Hempcone ceramics.

Curios to hear how you like the Alnico and the mix of the two.

me too! really liked the alnico at NAMM for spanky clean.

i had an eggie tol 50 2x12 combo loaded with a gh30 and a jensen p12n reissue that sounded nice, but in that rig with that amp there was a bit too much swampy midrange coming through the gh30.

the tubby ceramic should tighten that up with the tol 100

so far i like the chime of the tone tubbies on the carol ann clean but they get a bit too bright/spikey with the lead channel, at least in this tone tubby 2x12 open back enclosure. i prefer the EV 1x12 or my bogner 4x12 with the carol ann so far.

i'll try the eggie next, after the el classico!

I found the hempcones take a LONG time to break in. the spike will diminish over time.
