New cars suck. I had to buy a scanner to reset my tire pressures

I Like to bump up the pressure for winter
so I did. like I always do with all my cars

dash lit up, tire sign comes on. wont go out

I drove it around a while, it didnt reset.
(Mrs 70s Pilot and my previous cars reset itself a few miles. nooooo not Caddy)

so i pull out owners manual to see wtf went wrong

I had to buy a scanner. put car in learn mode then scan LF RF RR LR in that order.

finally i got the hang of it, which took my caveman mind a while to figure out.
after 15 minutes I got 2 horn chirps and the light went off

You have to physically push the scanner up against the sidewall as close to the valve as you can get it

I was holding near the valve not up against the sidewall

thankfully it was only $12.99 and then the kicker is its only good for GMs lol

Totally unrelated, but gorgeous 70. My friend back in fl had a nice 69 with a 390, and just got a 70 fastback with the original 351c to restore. Such cool cars.

Am admittedly a mid-year vette guy, but love those early mustangs. Always looking for a 68 coupe that isn't a pile of rust that also isn't too nice to feel bad driving it
