Do all the new Promod San Dimas series have direct mounted pickups that are non-adjustable? I played a San Dimas recently, and was confused to see the pickups directly mounted right to the wood, no springs/pads, and no routes for the legs. That would really limit what pups I'm going to like if I can't adjust them. It seems ridiculous that I would have to add neck shims to adjust pickup height and keep the action where I want it. Am I missing something?

Mine has rubber o rings as spacers, and the pickup screws are long enough to too add more rings to adjust for different pickup leg lenght. The rings compress somewhat so you do have a bit for fine adjustments.

wow, VERY interesting! So I wonder if this was a one off/2nd or something that I played. The legs were flush right against the wood on this one, and the pickup was still high above the body. That's great to know, thanks for the info man.

I think the Japan models are Direct mounted and the USA models are not....

My Japanese model was direct. I didn't like that either, and did have to shim the neck to compensate. That is my ONLY gripe about those guitars though. I didn't like the look too much either, and had I kept the guitar, it would have gotten rings and routing.

Mine is mij

Hate the direct mount.

Gonna dig out a dremel and some pickup rings for sure.

The Floyd seems kinda cheap to me.

Trying to decide whether to get a real german Floyd and a brass block.

Otherwise pretty kick as guitar
