That's great. I play guitar but for recording I can play simple bass parts. I wish I could figure out how he gets his bass tone with his band Overkill. Does anyone here know his gear setup?
I thought his Bronx Casket Company stuff was pretty cheezy. Big Overkill fan, big DD fan. But, hey, this is why they go do their own thing for a bit. Sometimes its good stuff, sometimes not so good.

I think he used Peavey amps or ada preamp. Overkill was the first band I saw as a kid on the years of decay tour and I saw them every chance I could for a few years and his bass always stood out. Peavey Mark amp, Gallien Krueger, or Hartke would get you there. I use a GK400 amp in the quad cortex for my bass tones with a 4x10 IR. It does that thrash clang pretty well.
As far as this I'm not a fan. I like Rockabilly but I could never get into swing. As far as the Misfits the stuff without Danzig doesn't count. My wife on the other hand, was listening to The Misfits Helena a few weeks ago and it grew on me. Which her listening to punk or metal is rare so I didn't say anything negative or positive about it.
