V30 by a mile IMO, but mixed is better. That's what CC uses in their Mesa cabs.

I'll correct myself. CC uses a mix of EVM mesa cabs and V30 mesa cabs, not mixed in the same cabs.

I used to run two cabs with the Zakk Ev's heavy as F@@K Weight wise lol. The cabs were back breakers. It was funny on stage i didn't like the sound compared to my Lead guitarist Who had stock 30's in his cabs but when putting thru the Pa, No Foh had any issues. It was clear punchy, and had this clarity deal. In certain respects it wasn't as heavy but it had more impact if that makes any sense. It is its own thing. I'm surprised more guys tuning to drop G and octave E super low lol don't give it a shot. The speaker doesn't fold at all. No matter what head you toss thru it. Got lots of compliments from it. Matter of fact i'm pulling one out of storage as we speak because of this.

I do appreciate the presence of the V30, but in almost everything else I prefer the 12L. That's part of why I really like the 12S. It has the characteristics of the 12L, but with much more mids between 1kHz and 4kHz, so it sits much further forward. It's also a tad smoother, with a hair less bass.

Check out this high-gain comparison (timestamped in the link) of the SRO, 12L Classic, and Series II 12L and 12S to see what I mean:
