I've always thought the bite was lacking and the tone too rounded or soft for my tastes but sounds like Friedman has addressed those concerns and put together some nice little packages here. Liking Nielsen's demos more and more as well as his playing. He does an excellent job of showing what these can do. What do you guys think?

Price seems reasonable too.

I think he fixed the stuff everyone would complain about and want him to mod on the originals.
They sound great to me. I had the original pink taco and it was too dull sounding no matter what I did. This seems MUCH better. I’ll probably get another one.

they just seem to be lacking something, they sound good but just kind of generic and characterless. ive never been too blown away by any tones this guy gets though so who knows.

Pete’s pt20 vid sounded great, much more of that trebbly chink that makes high gain Marshall’s so good. Curious to see how it does with a room mic, and how long it takes people to complain about it being “too bright.”

He said he did listen to the feedback and was making changes to make the amps brighter and less polished sounding.

Yes, his demo sounded pretty damn good.

quite liked these tones in context but overall they just make me want the big boy versions of those amps. you’ll just never get the same low end extension or headroom out of smaller amps. Also, I have an issue with amps that don’t have a presence control. Guessing there’s a good reason for it being omitted on these but ?‍♂️

I’ve never been too impressed switch Friedman clips until the Jake E Lee sig, the BE and it’s variations all seem to be neutered Marshalls. Great sounding but missing that bite and immediate thwack. But this new Pink Taco sounds like there’s more bite than usual for Friedman, at least in this demo. Sounds great.

Yeah I think it was time to listen to that feedback because I can tell you the synergy BE and DS were total misses for me. DS too dark and BE just not enough bite. I compare it to my old Friedman Brahma which he did off George Lynch's spec/ears and it isn't even close. Then my own modded brahma just dusts the Friedman. So these are more promising. His BE deluxe synergy module is supposed to be released next so let's see if it cuts. I suppose recorded the Friedman thing can work but back to back with an 800 or JMP fuget about et'.

As for these small guys, I don't mind the small format. If you have an 800 with an FX loop, jam this into the power amp of the big boy and you get your presence control back and that big amp sound.

I'm definitely going to get a PT V2. Sounds wonderful! Sounds more brown, and less polished. Yes please.

Pete's video rocks, but who knows what he's got going on. Atleast he states he's using a real cab, vs. Hairy guitars typically uses IR's, which ruin it for me, anyway..

I’ve never been disappointed with anything Friedman. He makes some great amps. Glad I have one that I really enjoy.

Pete's playing is always fantastic but this little Diddy he came up with is so killer. Is this something he wrote for the video, or recreated from some other material?

The PT V2 definitely has a far more open top end. There is some Marshall Kerrang right there. Good stuff.
