I bought one of the NAMM show Hagens from Brad, I have been a Herbert player for the last couple of years and love the tones I've gotten since I moved to Diezel.
I playe my first gig with the Hagen this weekend, even though I needed some extra time to get it tweaked to where I want it.
Long story short, midway throgh the first set ch. 4 goes out. I ended up pulling the V2 12AX7, and sticking the V1 12AX7 in its place. I had a spare EI 12ax7 that I carry with me that I ended up putting in the V1 spot. I made it through the night but had a hum in ch. 3 and 4 for the rest of the night. I guess a few new tubes are in order. My question is, can I just use regular shinese 12ax7 in these spots (they dont have the HG+ or HG labels).
