I'm trying to find a new hard rock/metal solo album to start getting into. Getting tired of the Vai, Petrucci, Satriani stuff. I really like Pete's new album but am looking for some others. Sampling Andy Timmons right now on iTunes. Will most likely purchase "Resolution" but is there anyone heavier?

Who am I missing? :m17:

Steve Stevens . maybe not heavier but amazing .Pete thorn again not heavier but great player .Andy wood

Here's a couple

Dave Weiner - On Revolute
Francesco Artusato - Chaos And The Primordial
Fred Brum - Atonement
Marco Sfogli - There's Hope
Guthrie Govan - Erotic Cakes
Animals As Leaders

jeff loomis is awesome, he has two solo records, or listen to animals as leaders its instrumental. chimp spanner is amazing as well.

check out john 5's solo stuff. i think its pretty good. Neil Zaza is an awesome melodic player. not that heavy but equally awesome.

I do have John 5's album Requiem. It's good, love his playing, but can only take in small amounts for some reason. I'm going to pull up Neil Zaza tonight and listen. Thanks for the recommendation.

+1 on John 5
Steve Stevens' "Memory Crash" is fantastic.
Andy Timmons' "Sgt. Pepper" is good too.

DeMartini has a solo album?

Oh believe me, I'm a huge fan of all these guys. Looking for new/modern hard rock/metal solo albums.
