I put this together last weekend on a whim. Thought I would share it quickly. I like how it turned out. Going for that "wall of sound" that Loomis gets on that album. I know it isn't anything spectacular. Obviously I carefully chose the Nevermore song to coexist with my playing abilities.

Either way, hope you like it!

Chad this is great!! Love Loomis. Thats a lot of gain there. Which amp and guitar?

I used one of my Andersons into my Kemper. I just got the Kemper last weekend. I am traveling right now and haven't had hardly any time to play with it yet. It is super simple to use. I found a great Ampeg profile for my bass and one Ola's Recto profiles for the guitars. Definitely more gain than I am used to but fit the tune. Sounds like a wall to my ears. This was all recorded direct at night with sleeping kids.

Thanks guys! Easy to find killer tones (and bad ones with terrible profiles). I just purchased the Amp Factory JCM800 and Friedman Brown Eye profiles. Looking forward to trying them out this weekend.

I bought the Friedman and Trainwreck profiles from the Amp Factory. Pretty good stuff!
The Plexi profiles (free ones) from the Amp Factory are also pretty good. Check out the Slash JCM profile by Erik Stam.

Thats pretty damn badass ,for a late night low volume recording.

not inciting a riot but there IS something in the Kemper recordings that just seems to have a realness and a raw element the others cannot obtain. I think its in the presence and mids . the tones just seem to breathe better

Right on man, good stuff! I dug the lead tone more than the rhythm tone, but considering you just got it I'm sure you'll be tweaking it further! Gotta listen to that album again soon...

Cheers,

Good work Chad. Sounds great.

I realize it is stupid but it is purely cosmetics that turns me off of the Kemper. Hopefully they come out with a rackmount version soon.

Chad, great stuff! Listened to it in my iPhone 5 speakers and the lead tone came through loud and clear! Sounded like the recording and as usual the playing itself is awesome.

Thanks guys!

Ryan, the pedal is going today. I will send you a PM in a bit.

Ivan, you should give the Kemper a shot. You've got a ton of killer amps. Would love to see what you think after you profile them.
