I spoke with Bill Finnegan at KLON/Siberia on Friday. He said that the new KLON will be released very soon, and that it is NOT going to be an exact duplicate of the original KLON. He also commented; "I think fans of the original KLON will like the new model even more..."

I absolutely love my klon. I was lucky and found mine at a more than reasonable price. Can't wait for these new ones to come out. They have been rumored for what seems like an eternity now.

Bill said that he's waiting on suppliers. This situation in Japan isn't helping matters, as a lot of the higher quality parts come from there.

My grandfather told me once that "the USA use to produce its her own products..." Suuuuure gramps! He was always coming up with bullshit stories like that.

Me too. I like my Klone

I love my clone called the tauras that i got on ebay -exact same circuit except it has true bypass switching where as the original is buffered. I owned an original klon but after playing side by side with the clone I decided to make a few bucks and just sell the original as the clone sounded Identical. Great pedal though in either aspect.

i think what he means is that the early klons were the old horsey type and then later came the silver box klon.

I use a Dan Zink "Minotaur" KLON clone myself. It's the exact same circuit as an actual KLON, and cost me less than $200.00! I prefer the buffered circuit over true-bypass. Some effects pedals don't like the signal from my Duncan pickups... The KLON circuit gets rid of the "crispies"!

My klone is buffered but is currently wired for TB. Maybe ill have to rewire it and give it a try.

I love TB for everything AFTER my gain pedal. Works especially great if you're using say a Deluxe Memory Man, or an effect pedal with low headroom.
